Last week I visited the First European Summer School of the Economy of Communion (EoC), from 11-15 September, near Lisbon, Portugal.
A great event gathering about 20 different countries and nationalities of young and not so young people, driven to bring about positive change to the current economic reality. Theme of the programme was: “Towards a Bridging Economy”.
Enjoy the Facebook impression!
That is what the Economy of Communion is about: fostering fraternity and communion at the heart of the economy and the enterprise. Key lectures where given by Professors Luigino Bruni, Luca Crivelli, Américo Mendes and by Mrs Tereza Ganzon, of the Bangko Kabayan in the Philippines.
Ethos of the market, enterprise transformation, social economy and the nature of poverty were all brought together in an intensive and exciting programme, combined with dialogue, workshops and fun! And Lisbon is a great city with a very warm welcome by our Portugese fellows.
